The YQNT LDSP1-A25 series is an integrated Type 1 AC surge protective device designed for lightning-current discharge at the incoming power and main distribution level.

It uses multi-layer graphite-gap technology and provides an impulse discharge current of Iimp 25kA per protection path under a 10/350μs waveform. Four Uc ratings and six protection configurations are available for different single-phase and three-phase AC systems.

Product Overview

This 25kA Type 1 SPD is intended for first-stage AC surge protection where high-energy lightning current must be discharged before it reaches downstream distribution equipment.

Unlike MOV-based Type 2 products, the LDSP1-A25 uses a multi-layer graphite-gap structure. It is designed for Type 1 SPD AC power protection at service entrances, main switchboards and primary distribution panels.

Available voltage ratings and protection modes allow the product to be configured for different electrical networks. For coordinated protection, the Type 1 lightning current arrester should be selected together with suitable downstream Type 2 SPDs.

Multi-Layer Graphite Gap Technology

The product uses a multi-layer graphite-gap structure for high-energy lightning-current discharge. This technology separates the LDSP1-A25 from the MOV-based Type 2 AC SPD series used for downstream transient-overvoltage protection.

The integrated graphite-gap design is intended for first-stage protection where a 10/350μs lightning-current impulse must be handled at the incoming distribution level.
