The LDSP1s-B60 is a pluggable Type 2 AC surge protective device designed to limit transient overvoltages in low-voltage power distribution systems.
With a nominal discharge current of 30 kA and a maximum discharge current of 60 kA under an 8/20 μs waveform, it is suitable for distribution boards, commercial electrical panels, and industrial control cabinets exposed to indirect lightning effects and switching transients.
The series is available with maximum continuous operating voltage ratings of 275 V, 320 V, 385 V and 440 V AC. This allows the SPD to be selected according to the actual system voltage, temporary overvoltage conditions and required voltage protection level.
During normal operation, the MOV-based protection elements remain in a high-impedance state. When a short-duration overvoltage occurs, the SPD provides a discharge path that helps limit the transient voltage reaching connected electrical and electronic equipment.
The pluggable design, internal thermal disconnector and green/red status window make inspection and maintenance more straightforward. Optional remote signalling is also available for monitored panels and unattended electrical installations.
1. Type 2 AC surge protection

3. MOV voltage-limiting technology
The MOV-based protective circuit responds quickly to transient overvoltages while maintaining a low residual-voltage design.
4. Pluggable protection modules
The protective cartridge can be removed from the wired base for inspection or replacement without necessarily rewiring the entire SPD assembly.
5. Internal thermal disconnection
An integrated thermal disconnector isolates the protective element if an abnormal thermal condition develops.
6. Green/red visual status indication
Green indicates normal operating condition. Red means the protection module should be inspected and replaced.
7. Optional remote signalling
An optional remote contact allows the SPD condition to be connected to an alarm, control panel or building monitoring system.
8. Multiple protection configurations
The series includes 1+0, 2+0, 3+0, 4+0, 1+1 and 3+1 variants for different conductor and protection arrangements.
9. Standard DIN-rail mounting
The compact modular housing is designed for installation on a standard 35 mm DIN rail inside a suitable electrical enclosure.

Model Selection Note
The correct Uc rating and protection configuration should be selected according to the actual AC system voltage, conductor arrangement, earthing design and required protection path.
A higher Uc rating is not automatically the better choice. The SPD must remain stable under normal voltage conditions while providing a voltage protection level suitable for the equipment being protected.

For the LDSP1s-B60, Imax is 60 kA per protection path. It is a surge-current rating, not the normal operating current of the electrical circuit.
In is the nominal discharge current used to describe the SPD’s Type 2 surge-current performance. For this series, In is 30 kA.
Imax is the higher maximum discharge-current test value. For the LDSP1s-B60, it is 60 kA.
Put simply, In is the nominal rating, while Imax is the maximum specified 8/20 μs discharge-current value.
275 V model: Up ≤1.8 kV
320 V model: Up ≤2.0 kV
385 V model: Up ≤2.2 kV
440 V model: Up ≤2.4 kV
Up is the residual voltage specified across the SPD under definesurge-test conditions. The SPD does not reduce the surge voltage to zero; it limits it to a controlled level.
The final installation point depends on the complete surge protection design, cable lengths and whether upstream Type 1 protection is already installed.
Red means the module is no longer providing the intended surge-protection function and should be inspected and replaced by qualified personnel.
The status window should be checked during routine maintenance and after a significant surge event.
